Fredericksburg, Texas

This central Texas city is less than a two-hour drive from bustling Austin.  Start your trip with a scenic drive along Texas Highway 290 (AKA Wine Road 290), which winds through stunning wineries and vineyards. Charlotte, North Carolina

Charlotte, nicknamed Queen City, is one of the most up-and-coming southern cities, and it’s easy to see why. Uptown Charlotte, the city center, is a modern metropolis. The neighborhood is teeming with must-visit attractions, such as the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Levine Museum of the New South). 1. Hudson, New York

This eccentric upstate New York town — about two-and-a-half hours from The Big Apple by car — is a haven for art, design, and antique lovers. Warren Street is lined with cool shops like  Arenskjold Antiques Art, Artemesia, Bavier Book Antique Jewelry, Fig & Bella, Cooper and Company, and FACE Stockholm. After spending some time indulging in retail therapy, grab a bite at one of the nearby restaurants.
